At Yuho, the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of every student is our first priority. We follow UK safeguarding standards and international best practices to ensure every programme is safe, supportive, and enriching.

• Safeguarding First
  Zero-tolerance approach to abuse, neglect, or exploitation. All staff trained in UK safeguarding standards, with a Designated Safeguarding Lead overseeing every programme.
   
• Staff Vetting & Training
  All staff undergo enhanced DBS (or equivalent) checks, reference screening, and safer recruitment. Group Leaders receive pre-departure training and scenario-based safety briefings.
   
• Risk Management
  Comprehensive risk assessments are carried out for transport, accommodation, health, cultural activities, and outdoor environments. Each trip is signed off by senior staff before departure.
   
• Emergency Preparedness
  24/7 crisis management framework, including:
  • Access to trusted hospitals & English-speaking doctors
  • Clear protocols for medical emergencies, missing students, natural disasters, and security incidents
  • Dedicated UK & China emergency contact lines for schools and parents
     
• Insurance & Standards
  Full insurance coverage (medical, evacuation, public liability, trip cancellation). All accommodation and transport providers vetted against international safety and hygiene standards.
   
• Student Code of Conduct
  Students are supported to travel responsibly, with clear expectations around safety, respect, and commitment to learning.
